About BCCO

Building a cancer-aware and treatment-accessible Bihar.

Bihar Cancer Care Organisation (BCCO) is a non-profit organisation committed to reducing critical gaps in cancer awareness, screening, diagnosis, treatment access, and patient support, especially for economically weaker and underserved populations.

The organisation’s vision is to create a Bihar where more people are informed, more cases are detected early, and more patients are able to continue treatment with dignity and support.

Bihar Cancer Care Organisation (BCCO) is dedicated to providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality cancer care to the people of Bihar, bridging gaps in awareness, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and support, while fostering research and innovation.

Core Programs

Focused action where it matters most.

Cancer Awareness Program

Community awareness drives, school outreach, workshops, and local-language campaigns to improve understanding of symptoms, prevention, and the importance of early diagnosis.

Screening Camps

Regular oral, breast, and cervical cancer screening camps in rural and semi-urban areas, with referral support for suspected cases and stronger links to hospitals and diagnostic services.

Patient Support Program

End-to-end support for patients through navigation, financial help, travel assistance, nutritional support, and emotional guidance during treatment and recovery.

Why Bihar

The need is urgent, especially in rural and underserved communities.

Bihar faces a rising cancer burden, low screening rates, late-stage diagnosis, major rural access gaps, and severe financial pressure on affected families.

BCCO aims to respond by focusing on awareness, screening, referral, and patient support for women, tobacco users, rural populations, and low-income families.
